The brief

Create two hours of visuals for Cobo's DJ set, segmented into five parts that follow the musical arc. Open on space and momentum, then turn more organic to fill the room. Go dark and spacey for a ravey stretch. Transition to a salsa section driven by the hi-hats and bursts of color. End on disco, building to a visual peak that lands with the final musical high before the set winds down.

The sequence

Sixteen moments from the set.

  1. Drifting into the galaxy
  2. Knots of light bloom into feathers
  3. Color rides out along the waves
  4. Soft shapes glow and swell until color fills the frame
  5. Glowing shapes smear into fine lines, then fade to black, white, and red
  6. A circle ripples through the lines
  7. Stripes break into bars that rise and fall like a beat
  8. A sound wave pulses around a ring, its echo spreading outward
  9. Color arrives one column at a time, building to a riot
  10. A red circle widens into a sphere of light, then dissolves into the first bloom of ink
  11. Blooms of ink in ribbons of color
  12. An iridescent ground rises
  13. Haze recedes to a point, where a flare of light opens into domes
  14. Columns of light rise and twist into soft ribbons
  15. Rays sharpen into the disco tunnel
  16. Soft light drifts and slows as the night winds down

How it was made

I turned each of the five parts into one generative visual that evolves on its own for its whole length. Each track gets its own look, and each big moment lands where Cobo placed it in the set. Every section ends exactly where the next one begins. Each new look grows out of what's already on screen, so the two hours play as one continuous piece.

I designed every section and built it with Claude Code, giving it direction and iterating until a scene felt right. Every frame is drawn live, so nothing repeats, and every clip on this page is rendered straight from the same code.
